This summer, we're excited to offer a diverse range of activities designed to engage and inspire our community. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, get active, or simply have fun with the family, there's something for everyone at Caerphilly Miners.
After School Art
Monday, 4:00pm - 5:30pm (Termtime)
£35 per half-term
Our children's art classes provide a positive and enthusiastic environment where your child can develop their creativity and confidence while exploring their own unique style. During the classes your child will get to express themselves through the medium of art, learn new skills and techniques, while experimenting with colour and different mediums along the way.

Cacao Ceremony
Once a month, dates vary

A sacred cacao ceremony facilitated by Stacey, to help unwind & reflect. Space to connect to our inner world and open the heart chakra to invite in love & compassion. I will guide you through breath work practices, a release ritual, sound healing using a Tibetan Sound Bowl plus more.
Caerphilly Ladies Choir
Tuesday, 7:30pm - 9:00pm (Termtime)
£18 per term
We’re a ladies' choir of over 40 members based in Caerphilly and practice every Tuesday evening in Caerphilly Miners’ Centre for the Community during school term time. We share a love of singing and have a wide repertoire from Welsh melodies and popular contemporary music to stage musicals. New members are always welcome.
Cards & Coffee
Wednesday, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Donation or Cafe Purchase
Our new, casual card club or Cards & Coffee is open to everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned card player or someone looking to learn new games. Come along and play with other card enthusiast, have a hot drink and socialise. This group is not structured and not led by anyone, therefore in leu of payment we ask for a donation or a purchase of a hot drink.
Chair Exercises
Thursday, 1:30pm - 2:15pm

This weekly volunteer led chair exercise group was set up in 2017. The sessions are also zoomed out to people at home and in supported housing schemes and are followed by refreshments and chat.
Climate Change Garden Project

Free
We are a team of volunteers with an interest in plants, wildlife, and biodiversity. We have a desire to create and maintain a beautiful garden which can cope with the extremes of weather resulting from climate change. We come out in all kinds of weather and get mucky because we love gardening.
Clock Cricket
Monthly on Thusdays, August 22nd, 10:15am - 11:30am

This a seated game of cricket suitable for men and women of all ages and abilities. Bookings are not required; if you would like to join us simply come along next session.
Coffee Shop Drop-ins

The Coffee Shop Drop-ins offer a warm, supportive space for various community groups to come together each month. Whether you're looking for information, support, or simply a friendly chat, these sessions provide a welcoming environment for everyone.
Craft and Chat Workshop

Digital Fridays

Come along to Digital Friday to get help with all of your digital needs. Our team of digital volunteers can assist you with issues such as Visa's, driving licences, social media and much more.
French (Online)
Monday, 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Online sessions.
Bonjour! This class is suitable for people who have already studied some French. We enjoy learning about cultural activities, current affairs and talking about ourselves and experiences in French. We also study incidental grammar and generally enjoy ourselves. Venez nous joindre!
Friday Social Club

As part of the warm hub the Miners Centre offers digital drop in, Stay & Play, Community Connectors. £1 per person for an instant hot drink and a round of toast. (Other Café alternatives available at a charge)
Glowyr Bach
Tuesday, 9:30am - 11:00am
£1 per child
Glowyr Bach (Welsh Stay and Play) offers play, stories, singing, and craft through the medium of Welsh for children 0-3 years old who will be attending a Welsh-medium school. Parents and children can socialise with others. The activity is run by a playleader and friendly volunteers.

Men's Shed
Monday & Thursday, 10:00am - 11:30am

Men’s Shed Caerphilly’s purpose is to benefit the men in our community. Preventing social isolation and assisting men to engage and connect together. We do this through the provisions of sessions in which they can meet and undertake creative, or recreational activities, learn or pass on skills and knowledge and support each other socially.
Moon Circle: Meditation Group
Once a month, dates vary, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

During my moon circles I guide you through two relaxing meditations, helping you to unwind and relax. I help you set an intention for the upcoming moon cycle, I also offer a group Oracle card reading and journal prompts.
A blissful two hour session leaving you feeling calm, supported and connected.
Pilates
Monday 5:30-6:15pm & 6:15-7pm, Wednesday 5:15pm - 6:00pm & Thursday 9:15am - 10:00am

Come along and get fit! This is a low impact exercise class to improve your posture, core strength and flexibility.

Repair Café
First Saturday of every month, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Donations are welcome!
Bring your broken household items, clothing, and electrical goods, and let our dedicated volunteers give them a new lease on life.
While you're here, relax and enjoy refreshments at the Beech Tree Coffee Shop, which will be open throughout the event. The next repair cafe will be on the 7th September.
Stay and Play
Friday, 9:30am - 11:00am
£1 per child
Stay and Play offers play, toys, music and craft to children aged 0-3. Parents and children alike can socialise with others. This activity is run by our play leader and friendly volunteers. Come along, enjoy the warmth and have fun!

Superchoir
Thursday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

We’re bringing feel-good vibes and grooving arrangements to the bustling town of Caerphilly with a blast Superchoir session!
We are an audition-less, solo-free, chart-topping hit-singing choir who welcomes everybody who loves to sing and have a great time. And yes, you CAN join us even if you think you can’t sing!
