Businesses at the Miners
We have local businesses renting rooms at the Miners Centre; these are helping to make commercial use of some of our rooms but also our ethos is one where we aim to help the whole community, individuals, groups and local ventures. We are pleased to have two businesses working from the centre at the moment:
Lisa Morgan Beauty and Back2you Osteopathy
Lisa Morgan Beauty
Lisa started her journey to become a beauty therapist by training part time in the evenings after having her children. Lisa started the course when her eldest daughter turned 3 and with her youngest being only 4 months old. Lisa knew it would be difficult balancing her work and family life but was determined to finding her ‘forever job’.
When Lisa qualified she secured a part time job in a local beauty salon and enjoyed every part of it. Lisa loved everything to the interaction with clients, right through to learning how to cash up at the end of the day. Lisa takes extreme pride in making sure her equipment and shop is properly cleaned for her next client.
After spending three years in the salon, Lisa worked in another four salon where she gained new qualifications and skills through various training. Her favourite training has been with world-renowned Estee Lauder House in Mayfair, London.
Back2you has two clinic branches, one clinic is located near Cowbridge and the other is in the heart of Caerphilly, with their new location in the Caerphilly Miners Centre.
The clinic is made up of three osteopaths, Elinor Lewis the owner, Peter Palmer and Zoe Bowring. Osteopathy gives a hands on approach to treat and aid musculoskeletal injured and problems through a tailor made treatment plan. The initial consultations and treatment is £55 and £45 for any follow up treatments/ appointments.
Elinor also offers yoga lessons in the Centre on Monday morning at 11:30am, or online classes that are vinyasa flow.

In February 2018, after 11 years of working in different salons and building up a strong clientele, Lisa decided to take a leap of faith and opened her own beauty studio at Caerphilly Miners.
After failing to find a suitable space perfect for her salon, Lisa came across a Facebook post about the Centre informing her that a room was available for hire. Lisa was delighted, as she has always admired the beauty of the historic building and due to the Centre being only walking distance from the town centre with great parking facilities.
Lisa feels honoured to say her business premises are at Caerphilly Centre as it is such and iconic building. Lisa loves how the old building is used regularly in the community.
Feedback from clients
Since opening Lisa has received amazing feedback from her clients. Everyone loves the building and raves about the amount of free parking and how easy it is to find the Centre.
“I have been going to Lisa for gel nails and eyelash extensions. Lisa is thoughtful, professional and meticulously clean. Both my nails and eyelashes last for weeks and I love the range and creativity she brings.” M Arthur
