On Friday 17th February we were presented with a silver birch tree by Brigadier Robert Aitken CBE – Lord Lieutenant of Gwent on behalf of the late Queen Elizabeth II through the Queen’s Green Canopy scheme.  This special occasion was attended by the Mayor of Caerphilly Liz Aldworth, the Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert, Caerphilly Miners’ Centre’s Secretary, Chairwoman, Trustees, some group members, and local primary school pupils.
