In my role I work closely with the trustees to ensure the centre is adhering to its strategic plan; budget and other essential documents. I am responsible for applying for grants; growing new commercial ventures and managing the staff.

I support and develop our amazing team of volunteers. I help connect people with rewarding opportunities to contribute their time, skills, and enthusiasm to our community projects and events. Whether you're looking to get involved for the first time or are a long-standing volunteer, I’m here to ensure you feel valued, supported, and engaged.

I support the work of the Volunteer Coordinator in onboarding new volunteers. I also work closely on a one to one or small group basis with volunteers who may need more support to complete their role.

I am responsible for ensuring that youth project activities achieve their full potential, where I support staff and volunteers. I enhance project outcomes through partnership working and support funding applications. I identify volunteer opportunities and liaise with the volunteer coordinator. I also organise fund raising events for the centre. 

As the Marketing Officer at Caerphilly Miners Centre, I design engaging visuals, manage digital communication strategies, and lead promotional campaigns to enhance awareness and community engagement. I also oversee event promotions, ensuring maximum visibility and participation. As a Welsh speaker, I’m passionate about promoting bilingual communication and inclusivity.

As the Room Hire Officer at Caerphilly Miners Centre, I am responsible for managing room bookings for events, meetings, and activities within the centre. I help individuals, community groups, and businesses find the right space for their needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient booking process. Whether you're planning a workshop, class, or special event, I am here to assist you in making the most of our welcoming and well-equipped spaces.

I am responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness in all areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms and café and kitchen areas. This includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning. I’m a happy face around the centre but always staying professional, always help to help in different tasks and duties around the centre when required to do so. I always ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards. I adhere to all health and safety guidelines and COSHH policies.

I am responsible for all aspects of our transport scheme. I onboard volunteers and provide them with training. I take phone calls for journeys, match them to drivers; calculate the price and ensure the experience for customers runs smoothly.
