I manage all the activities for the over 50s. The aim of our age friendly activities is to tackle isolation and loneliness amongst older people – allowing them to make friends and connect with others in the community. My role is to ensure volunteers running our age friendly activities are supported and have what they need to run their sessions. I also look into developing further activities for this age group to enhance their experience at the miners. 

I am responsible for ensuring that youth project activities achieve their full potential, where I support staff and volunteers. I enhance project outcomes through partnership working and support funding applications. I identify volunteer opportunities and liaise with the volunteer coordinator. I also organise fund raising events for the centre. 

My role is to recruit volunteers to help with the many activities and events taking place at Caerphilly Miners. Hopefully, I will be able to fit your skills, experience, and interests to the varied volunteer roles available, to make your time here both enjoyable and rewarding.
