​We’re looking for art and poetry entries which will celebrate our heritage.  This will reflect past and present memories of our community and our hospital over the past 100 years.  Themes you could explore include:  Our Mining Community and The Caerphilly Miners Hospital and the families it served.

 The age categories are:

             7-11 years

            12-14 years

            15-18 years

            Adults

​

 Art – Entries may not be more than A4 size and may be in any medium.

 Poetry - Entries may be in Welsh or English, A4 size.

 

How to enter

​Adults

Please write your name on the back of your submission with your phone number or email address.

​

Please write a 50 word statement with your submission about why you have chosen the particular topic.   

Children

Please write your name, age and a parent’s email address on the back of your submission.

​

​Entries must reach the Miners by 5 pm on Friday 26th May.  

​

​They will be judged during half term and all entries will be photographed for our virtual exhibition. Winning entries will be framed and displayed in the centre. Entries that haven’t been shortlisted will be returned to the participants who will receive a certificate of participation.
